About
the
Line
Lopatič Double Top Line guitars represent the highest level of innovation, responsiveness, and tonal refinement in my work. Built using a modern double-top construction, these guitars feature a lightweight sandwich structure consisting of two ultra-thin spruce layers with a custom-made end-grain balsa core. I prepare the end-grain balsa sheets myself from solid balsa wood and shape them using a unique internal pattern developed through CNC machining. This design maximizes stiffness and acoustic efficiency while keeping the soundboard exceptionally light. The result is a highly responsive top with outstanding projection, sustain, and dynamic range, while preserving a natural and rich tonal character. Even the most delicate playing comes through with clarity and depth, offering an expressive and nuanced sound ideal for concert performance. The neck is reinforced with two carbon rods for maximum stability, and the sides are laminated to enhance structural integrity and improve projection. Bracing patterns are custom-adapted to each instrument based on tonal goals, always with a focus on balance, richness, and responsiveness. Each guitar is equipped with Perona tuning machines. These guitars are intended for demanding players who seek a refined, modern classical guitar that combines innovative construction with expressive musicality.
